Hello vine, I have decided to post my first recipe to RecipeVine. And I have a picture of the final product so it counts as weekend exposure. This recipe is called Hammie's Famous Hamburger-Peanut-Raisin Casserole.
Ingredients: Potatoes ≈1470 grams (or more as preferred)
Peanuts ≈ 200 grams
Raisins ≈ 200 grams
Hamburger (fake or real) = 680 grams
Cheese (grated if real or fake; I used Daiya brand) = 454 grams
garlic powder = a small amount
Soy Milk or real milk---varies on use (236 ml or more)
Butter alternative or real butter --- varies on use (5 grams or more)
Olive Oil ----enough to spread over skillet
Optional: various flavor enhancers to potatoes.
Instructions: Use a 38.1 cm x 25.4 cm x 5.08 cm corningware dish. Mine was glass. Heat water in a large pot at high heat. Peel the potatoes and wash them if needed and chop them. Boil the potatoes at high heat for 10-12 minutes. While begin boil, start oven to heat at 176.6° C or 350° F. And while boiling the potatoes, heat the oil in the large skillet and fry the meat or fake meat for several minutes then add the peanuts and raisins and stir them into a mix. This should be heated at medium heat. This may vary depending on cooking appliance used. When done, add the gravy mix and stir together. When potatoes are finished cooking, drain the water and return the potatoes to the pot. Add the soy milk/milk, butter alternative/butter, sea salt, pepper, garlic powder and smash them together until they are a smoother mix. This consistency may vary depending on technique used. Then layer potatoes on bottom of corningware. Place half cheese/fake cheese on top. Place gravy/meat mixture on top of this. Layer remaining cheese on it. Next place in oven if oven is ready. Heat for ten minutes to achieve the melted cheese. When it is done, I recommend eating it.
Preparation time would vary at ten minutes or more.
Cooking time...20-30 minutes. This may vary.
